7. I have notified you of the further aspects of this

problem to which consideration has been given subsequent to the disc of my saving-gram of 9th August, 1948, in order that you, on your part, may also be able to consider the matter further prior to the forthcoming decisions.

You should know that His Majesty's Controller and Auditor General as reported in terms which make it likely that my Accounting Officer will be pressed very hard on this subject (relief stores) by the Fublic Accounts Committee. In particular they may ask for information of the type I refer to Para. 3 of this saving-gram.
